To use an interdental brush, first select the correct size; it should fit snugly but comfortably between your teeth without bending the wire or forcing it. Hold it like a pen, gently push it in and out of the space horizontally, and rinse the brush after each use.

Step-by-Step Guide
  1. Find the Right Size: The brush should slide in with light resistance. If it feels too tight or forces the gums to turn white, switch to a smaller size. (You may need different sizes for different gaps).
  2. Hold and Insert: Grip the handle like a pen for optimal control. Place the brush horizontally against the gum line in the gap between your teeth
  3. Move Back and Forth: Gently push the brush all the way through the gap and pull it back out. Repeat this motion 2-3 times per space to effectively dislodge plaque and food particles.
Clean the Back Teeth: For hard-to-reach molars, use a brush with an angled head or gently curve the neck/wire of a standard brush. You may need to clean from both the front and the back of your teeth.
Rinse and Replace: Wash the brush thoroughly under water after use. Replace it when the bristles become worn or the wire bends, which typically happens after 7 to 10 days.
Helpful Tips
  • When to Use: Use it once a day, ideally before brushing your teeth.
  • Don't Worry About Bleeding: If you are new to interdental cleaning, your gums may bleed or feel slightly tender. This is normal and a sign of plaque buildup; it usually stops within 7 to 10 days of consistent use.
  • Skip the Paste: Do not use toothpaste on the interdental brush unless specifically advised by your dentist
