How it works
Antibiotics kill bacteria including the friendly ones in the stomach that are essential for digestion & food absorption. It restores the balance of friendly bacteria in intestines, increases absorption of nutrients by the body, and increases body's ability to resist microbial attacks.
Usage And Safety
Dosage
Adults : Usual recommended dose is 1-2 caps or 1 sachet a day . It can be recommended upto 6 caps or 6 sachets a day depending on the severity of condition, to be continued for 1 wk after the symptoms subside. Children : Children and those who cannot swallow capsule : The powder of the caps can be taken out and administered with cold water , honey , milk (cold) or juice etc . Usual recommended dose for children is 1-2 caps or 1-2 sachets a day , however it is not recommended in children under the age of 1 yr. OR As directed by your physician.
Side Effects
Hypersensitivity reactions, including rash, urticaria and angioedema have been reported. Bacteremia, septicemia or sepsis in immunocompromised patients or those hospitalized due to a serious illness.

Indication
Treatment and prevention of acute or chronic infectious diarrhoea of non-specific origin , antibiotic associated diarrhoea of non-specific origin , antibiotic associated diarrhoea and traveler's diarrhoea . Co-prescribe with antibiotics to minimize the ecologic damage of intestinal flora. Other indications include inflammatory bowel disease ( Ulcerative colitis , Crohn's disease ) , irritable bowel syndrome and post-operative state. It can be combined with ORS , antibiotics , antifungal , anti-protozoal , antiviral , other anti-diarrhoeal products and also with chemotherapeutic agents.

Hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in the list.

Precaution
During antibiotic therapy, the product should be administered in the interval between one dose of antibiotic and the next.
Warnings
Warning 1
There have been reports of bacteremia, septicemia or sepsis in patients taking this probiotic who are immunocompromised or are hospitalized due to a serious illness. It should be used in these patients only if the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks.
Warning 2
Use of probiotics in severe acute pancreatitis is contraindicated.
Warning 3
Excessive doses do not produce side effects. However, it is better to follow the recommended doses.
