Key Ingredients & Mechanism
Each tablet contains two active drugs that work together to lower blood sugar levels: [1, 2, 3]
  • Ertugliflozin (15mg): An SGLT2 inhibitor that prevents the kidneys from reabsorbing glucose, allowing excess sugar to be excreted via urine. [1, 2]
  • Sitagliptin (100mg): A DPP-4 inhibitor that increases the levels of incretin hormones, which helps the body regulate blood sugar more effectively. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Usage & Storage
  • Dosage: Typically taken as one tablet daily, with or without food.

Important Precautions
  • Renal Function: Not recommended for patients with an eGFR below 45 mL/min/1.73 m² and completely contraindicated in severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease. 
  • Side Effects: Common side effects can include urinary tract infections (UTIs), genital yeast infections, and increased urination. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe abdominal pain (a sign of pancreatitis) or symptoms of ketoacidosis.
