This medication is an iron supplement used to treat or prevent low blood levels of iron (such as those caused by anemia or pregnancy). Folic acid is used to treat or prevent low folate levels. Low folate levels can lead to certain types of anemia. Vitamin B12 is needed to make red blood cells, which carry oxygen to all parts of your body
