How Hivate Ointment Works
Mometasone Furoate binds to glucocorticoid receptors in the skin, modulating gene expression to suppress inflammatory mediators. This decreases cytokine production, mast cell activation, and immune responses, effectively controlling redness, swelling, and irritation while promoting skin healing without affecting collagen synthesis.
Indications
Psoriasis: Thickened, red, scaly skin patches
Eczema / Atopic Dermatitis: Red, itchy, and inflamed skin
Contact Dermatitis: Allergic or irritant-induced skin reactions
Other inflammatory dermatoses that require potent corticosteroid therapy
Dosage & Administration
Adults: Apply a thin layer once or twice daily for up to 4 weeks, then review.
Children: Apply as adults, with weekly review by a physician.
Follow the prescribed directions to avoid overuse and systemic absorption.
