Uses and How It Works
Main Use: Short-term relief of severe sleep problems and trouble staying asleep.
Action: Calms brain activity to help you get 6 to 8 hours of sleep.
Rules: Take it right before bed with water. Make sure you have 7 to 8 hours to sleep without waking up. 
Dosage Information
Normal Adult Dose: 5 mg (one tablet) at bedtime. For severe cases, doctors may prescribe up to 10 mg.
Elderly Patients: 2.5 mg (half a tablet) at bedtime, because older adults are more sensitive to the drug.
Time Limit: Do not use for more than 2 to 4 weeks to avoid building a tolerance or dependence. 
Side Effects and Risks
Common Effects: Daytime sleepiness, dizziness, headache, tiredness, muscle weakness, and confusion.
Safety Warning: Do not drive or use heavy tools after taking this medicine. Do not drink alcohol with it.
